|
|
Anybody else having problems with their butt? hehehe roflmao
Seriously, though... A few weeks ago I turned the software on so I could play a show at Fibbers. It crashed. I restarted it. It crashed. I played the show with my old stand-by Simplecast. No worries (but lesser quality recording).
I uninstalled and reinstalled a newly downloaded copy of butt. Nada. Crash. Bang. Fail.
I like this software. Wondering if there are any troubleshooting things I can be doing so that I can use it again. _________________ I have a lot going on! Find out more:

I've been playing with my butt for over a year now and never had any problems.
It's a mystery that it has crashed but if you search the forum I am sure that at some point the guy that wrote butt did post here once and you might be able to get his email address or something.
At the very least it's handy to know you had an issue so that all butt users can make sure they have a backup copy of simplecast to fall back on this the same issue afflict them. _________________ http://www.djaiskjellerup.com

Thanks, Toby. Yes that is where I downloaded the software originally and where I got the new copy. Reinstall hasn't helped.
I'll contact him to see if he can help at all. I always hate to bother software developers that give their stuff for free... always seems like I'm asking for something extra after they already give it away.
But, if they are trying to improve the product for possible future software options, they probably do like to know what causes it to fail. _________________ I have a lot going on! Find out more:

What else is running on your comp?
I'd try disabling antivirus (especially pesky ones like Norton and McAfee) and even disable the firewall to see if it still crashes. |

Nothing has changed at all on my comp, including my antivirus. And no, I won't turn it off. I don't run Norton or McAfee (refuse to touch either one). But I won't run without virus control.
Absolutely NOTHING has changed. It just started crashing. _________________ I have a lot going on! Find out more:
