Forsythe Whitfield releases CD LIVE and in SL
Roots & Blues artist Forsythe Whitfield is set to release his new CD "Worn Out Shoes" live in Montreal Canada on Feb 29th. At the same time he'll be releasing it in Second Life at the House of Flames. This will be a special opportunity to experience Forsythe with a live audience in a Real Life / Second Life mash up. The show will feature a live audio stream from Montreal along with a unique performance set that changes throughout the performance and fireworks displays between sets.
Forsythe, also known as Hal Brolund, has been making music in Canada for over 10 yrs and has toured extensively in that country. He explains that Second Life has been instrumental in the growth of his music career in the last year. "Since I've been playing shows here in SL, my online CD sales have increased and there are more folks e-mailing me about my music. I have been preselling my CDs to help fund them for a number of years, and this time most of the subscribers to the CD are residents of SL. Normally to sell CDs an independant artist like me has to spend time on the road. Playing for the people where they live. With SL I play for the people from my home and they meet me in the place we both live, Second Life."
Worn Out Shoes was produced by Canadian roots icon David Essig ( http://www.davidessig.com ) on an island off Canada's west coast and features a compelling blend of vulnerability and confidence. and highlights his skills as a writer and performer of original material. The songs range from stories about roadside chicken joints to failed relationships and pure red blooded lust. The undercurrent of the CD is a quiet faith that love will win out and that the real heroism of a relationship isn't whether it survives but that fragile broken people even try to love at all. Amen.
The show begins at 5pm SLT with Montian Gilruth performing a short set, then Cybster DJ will take over during the change over. Forsythe's first set begins at 6pm and is followed by Fireworks. His 2nd set begins at 7pm (ish) and is also followed by Fireworks. There will be several kiosks at the venue where the complete album (including artwork) can be purchased for Linden's as well as individual tracks downloaded.

Heya, Forsythe, I'm looking for the real deal, bro. I saw mention of CD Baby on your Web site but I didn't see a link. I don't want to buy the CD in-world as an MP3 is not going to do justice to your work. Please put out a link to where the physical CD can be purchased.
You're one of the very few originals in Second Life and I wish you every possible success with this release. _________________ Ever vigilant for da gooses overhead.
