Destiny got Grateful a Godin xtSA for his birthday, surprising him quite enormously. Builder is not enough to describe the beautiful work that went into making the guitar. Myriam Beck is a master of lutherie and her build is clear proof of it.

As I understand it, she also made the guitars available on Gibson Island but, regardless of the quality of the build, I have no more interest in old school guitars than I ever did. In any case, if you can't afford a custom guitar from her, you might want to visit over there to take a look. (I was kind of repelled by the blatant commercialism as it looks pretty much like a sim that NASCAR would build but everyone to their own tastes.)

The comedy part of this is that I had asked Myriam about an xtSA a while back but I didn't think she was interested and it's much easier for me to believe people don't like me than to consider the possibility that they might so I gave up. In talking with Grateful, I found that she thought I had lost interest and that's why I didn't hear back from her.

She made me the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen in Second Life and she used a custom texture that I gave her plus some additional textures that she created specially for this guitar. What's more, she didn't charge a single linden additional for doing that plus she sized it personally to make sure it was right for me. Even more, she stayed up until four a.m. her time to do it. Finding anyone with this much dedication to his or her craft in or out of SL would be quite a trick. Myriam Beck, master luthier.

I just spoke to her about re creating my Kramer and am excitedly waiting till the end of month when I can pay for it! and she can start building Very Happy

She even detailed the back of the body! Absolutely unbelievable!

By the way, don't get impatient waiting. The lady is an artist and it takes time to deliver the quality she expects of herself.

i never had a guitar of her,
allthough i have some hufsmidt ones.

copies of the RL ones he builds.
and some special freaky ones.

For me the best ones you can get,
they look real, strings go up and down,
cool animations, color changes,
tremelo's you can detach.
But the great thing is that he is a rl guitar builder,
so he knows the instruments.

I must say that Silas got something right!
Myriam Beck makes incredible guitars!
There are a lot of great guitar builders in SL. Every one of them puts
there heart and soul into there products.
Myriam goes beyond that. She puts so much time and effort into her
guitars. Each one is truely a work of art.
I've seen some really incredible guitars. Patrick Hufsmidt has a really
interesting exploding skull guitar etc... and he too puts incredible work
into his guitars.
Each guitar builder has there own unique style to approach things.
Myriam's guitars leave me absolutely speachless.... I am so impressed
with the quailty of her guitars. They are so incredibly beautiful, and rich
in detail. The price is affordable for such high quality. Of all the guitars
I own... hers are my favourite. If you are in the market for a guitar or
even a custom guitar search around and see which maker suites your
needs best, but I have to absolutely recommend Myriam Beck.
She has just opened a new location for her Legend Guitars in an airship.
Go have a look. You won't be dissapointed, and when you passout at the
quaility try not to fall over the railing..... it's a long way to the ground
below..lol. Keep on Rocking!
