I've poked around a bit to see if there's any information on this posted already, but haven't seen anything yet.

I'm hoping to stream with a friend of mine who also has a Mac. We both have the Mac basics- Garageband and Nicecast- but I have no idea where to start. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

I don't have a quick reference to the thread but in lieu of that and very briefly, you need to learn about ninjam. Virtual Live Band has been using it forever. Johnny99 is well-versed in it. A search of SLMC for ninjam may track down the thread quickly.
