Some of you may have known Yrrek Gran, some of you may not have...

Yrrek Gran passed away rl last Friday evening, from heart failure. Yrrek Gran did the chimes that you hear in the California Building in San Diego in SL, and owned a clock shop there for a year....

She was at every Midnight Auer show at Club Wicked, playing the piano and organising a back-up band for him and she was at every Jean Munro show. Yrrek did the clock for Crap's clock tower and he has stopped the gears to commemorate her death, its on Crap's blog.

She owned a clock shop rl and gave many of you clocks she created in SL. She created canoe rides and bicycle rides for Diegoland too. She was a big supporter of Live music and you may have seen her at some of your shows.

A quote from her sisters email: "While I was seldom on SL I knew most of you and your happenings on a daily basis. Kerry looked upon you as her friends and saw the human side of your avatars. She adored Dane and Midnight and only wished that she could befriend all of you in real life."

Jean Munro was asked to record "Amazing Grace" which will be played at Yrrek's funeral rl, which is today. I will release the song on SL Live Radio after the sl funeral.

If you knew Yrrek or didn't know Yrrek, she was a giving, loving person who loved live music. Her life was her RL clock shop and her SL friends. She was much loved and will be sorely missed.

Emmie Fairymeadow, Jean Munro and I are planning to hold an SL funeral for Yrrek at San Diego in SL at the Organ Pavillion on Sunday, July 27 at 4:30pm slt (tentative). Jean will sing as well as Melodee and Crap Mariner and I will speak. Many others plan on attending or contributing to the service - Freereed is providing a minister.

You all are more than welcome to attend the service, or please im Jean Munro or Emmie or I if you would like to contribute. I will update this post with details as I know them.

I am very sorry to hear the sad news about Yrrek, whom I always considered to be a great person, a loyal Diegolander, and a dear friend.
We will miss Yrrek very much.

I never met Yrrek, but she sounds like a special lady.

My condelences to you Cher, and all her SL friends, and her family.

Not sure what you do in the new world.... but if think i can do anything to help Cher, let me know.

Very sad news indeed. I ran into her a few times, enthusiast would be an understatement. Wish I could be at the SL funeral, which is a beautiful thought imho, but it will be too late for me. My condolences to her friends and loved ones.

I talked to Cindy today on the phone and she said she would like a copy of what we had said at the service to be sent to her.

At the RL service in Chicago, she took the words of Yrreks friends and put them in balloons and released them,.. She said it was beautiful…
She would like to do the same for Kerry’s SL friends…
