Please join The Stream Scene and friends on October 17th at 1pm slt at Metaverse Island Event Space in the Mushroom tower as we show our appreciation to Musicians & Live performers in the Second Life community by presenting the first Stream Scene Awards. This is our way of saying thank you to people in the live music community that take time to entertain us around the grid.

What's this I hear about the 30 L$ people have to pay to nominate their favourite artist and the 30 L$ each voter has to cough up? You guys gonna buy Stream Scene Music Award cups with that money, or something, to hand out to the winners?

It seems that the voting system leaves a LOT to be desired here.
Why on earth is Russell Eponym in Best Reggae artist category?
Plus, there seems to be no explanation as to why 30 lindens is need per vote or per nomination. it all seems a tad poorly planned tbh.
In all honesty I hate to think that any one of my supporters payed 30 lindens to have me nominated for any sort of SL award,
knowing that I truly don't care for such things. For me they have no meaning and that also goes for any sort of 'best of singer/performer in SL' award system. It's a bit like Best dancer/ pose ball artist.
It's misleading and not a true indicator of talent, merely of how many people cough up 30 lindens, which goes to who?
Gah its like the Lame awards or whatever that was all about...ugh.

And the voting deadline was extended....gotta squeeze every last linden out of it  brought to you by a true supporter of the cover charge system.....no doubt peeps can expect to see that piece of crap in place at the "awards show" ? ......money makes the world go round,the world go round,the world go round....etc

I got a notecard on this that listed names of "nominees". My name is on this list. I dont have anything to do with it, I want my name removed, and anyone who paid to "vote" to get a refund. I don't want to get any noisier about my request please, Twstd.
