It has been a struggle to get everything done but lately I have had some success.
Most recently I have the IndieSpectrum music players ready. They are SL radios that come in 3 forms; an iPod, an audio rack and a antique radio.
Besides playing IndieSpectrum they have a really cool extra feature! Remotely I can upload concert info and their menu will announce current music events to residents that don't belong to any music groups. People will find out about live music that don't even know it exists in SL!
The music players are free, of course, and I plan to primarily distribute them at stores across SL. It would be great if music venues and musicians put out my vendor too. Like IndieSpectrum Radio I hope that my music players will get people to live concerts that don't belong to any music groups.
To show current music events I will need musicians schedules sent to me. Soon I will have a form on my web page but for now I will take an IM in SL. Send the following: musicurl;where and who (keep it short);day;24HRSLT start time;24hr SLT end time. For example:
http://81.169.149.182:8016;Didier Soyuz, Pixel Hill;29;17;18
Note I need the semi colons in between but not at the end.
TP to the KISR studios and transmitter to get the vendor or just the contents. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Newfa...ww.indiespectrum.com/playing.html
Finally, I have the requests working well on my web server. For a time I had to use a server donated by Jeremy Barracuda for the stations music requests. Jeremy was a big help and is talented and capable with Internet technology besides being a great musician.
Go to http://www.indiespectrum.com/playing.html to request your favorite SL music from the ISR playlist.
I still need more artists! I have a great mix of music now but there are many artists that promised to upload thier music and forgot. Artists please go to http://www.indiespectrum.com/artists.html to upload your music.
I have been working so hard lately with IndieSpectrum I hardly have any time to have fun in SL, lol. I really would like lots of feedback on what I am doing. I could use some volunteer helpers too!
Thanks so much!

This sounds AWESOME!! Drop me a vendor with copy/mod (for sizing purposes only) in world and I'll put them up in both Cascadia Harmonics and Rocky Shores!

Fox has been seriously working hard on Indiespectrum radio for the last few months and has done a great job. He tries and test everything well before 'putting it out there' and every time another artist uploads songs for air play the variety of music on the station just keeps on improving thanks to all you talented musicians!
We have had Indiespectrum radio on permanently at Pixel Hill since it first went on air and as soon as the live music ends I put it back on, and not a single show has passed with out someone asking about it and clicking on the info box to get the url for their land media!
I am probably just going to reiterate what Fox has already said but.... What he really needs now is for more artists to sign up so as to increase the hours of music and for more venues, club, shopping centres/malls, private residences and sims to start playing it on their land (the list of where it is playing grows daily) and start getting SL artists being heard 24/7 all over the grid and of course out of world too via the website. Get the free player vendors out there and get people listening, so please everyone, anyone get a vendor (it contains the 3 types of music players, an info box, a small flip title to wear and tshirts etc.).
Fox is and has always been a big supporter of live music in SL and he like so many other is someone who really is working hard to get SL music heard everywhere but he needs our help too and getting people listening is the main thing
Click here to go to INDIESPECTRUM RADIO
ok, i'll stop singing his praises now and go back to lurking
ps: admins if there were more purple options i'd post a lot more often, lol! _________________ StrangeFates & Didier's page

Just a thought.
