I think i missed my chance when it was in Chicago... or when it was in Florida.
If you do go Eva, you should try to line up a music show with possibly other musicians 'in parallel' to the conference.
I don't know if you remember, or were around when they were talking about it last time.
The last time it was discussed, umm. .. can't remember exact scenario, but basically it involved paying a lot of money to be able to put on a show or have a presentation.
If i were around there, i'd try to find a place that would allow you to set up and have a show, maybe with some other musicians, maybe charge a 5$ fee at the door, and play for that, or whatever.
or not. lol. Have fun if you do make it there! |

This year I'm considering the SL Tea Party instead, though a bit iffy whether I'll be able to swing it. It'll be in Las Vegas and much less formal foo-farah surrounding it. There's a ning site for organizing it.
SLCC '07 was a blast, but it was expensive has hell, and it sounds like they've kept that trend. SFO is likely to be really pricey, though I can understand why you're interested in that location - easy access from WA.
THere are times I'd really love to see something like SLCC but focussed on music kind of like SLCCxSW - and MUCH less expensive - they always pick these ritzy convention hotels that cost an arm and a leg. |

I haven't decided yet, but I am leaning towards Tea Party in Vegas. _________________ -ls/cm

There will likely be a stage show in Cincinnati but it's not so much an SL thing as a knock the walls down for no particular reason kind of thing. This time I want lasers. I never did lasers before. _________________ Silas Scarborough

I suspect the only "right" one is the one at which you think you'll have the best time. That's gonna be real hard to judge before hand.
Myself, I had a blast at the SLCC'07 (which was public), but I had a MUCH better time at the Hummingbird Jam '08 (which was private). _________________ Joy is in the ears that hear
