Best Laid PlansNo, this isn't about porno videos
I wanted to shoot some video last night so I had my process all mapped out. I'd record the audio in the computer to get high-resolution sound. I'd record the video by shooting into a mirror over the top of a light to get an uglier picture than the ones the put on MTV. I'd mount the camera on a short tripod on the desk to catch the angle from where I was playing. Man, I was all set.
So I recorded that audio, sent it to iTunes and copied that file into the project folder. So organized. I started up Final Cut Studio. I'm cranked. All I have to do now is plug in the camera and I can extract the video. Align the audio and, whammo, I'm ready for a sidewalk square in Hollywood.
Yep, all I have to do now is plug in the camera.
All I need to do that is plug in that special cable.
Yep, that cable.
Where is that effin' cable.
I've torn the house up from top to bottom trying to find it.
No cable.

Oh, I've had a million projects get screwed through lack of and/or suddenly bad cables.
Okay, maybe not a million. But a bunch of 'em. C'est la vie, as they say.
