well, as opposed to a venue booking you with a lineup of a show///
at my DJ shop, i have it set up a little differently. Basically, the DJ has to make their entire show, the promo, etc, but they have all the land abilities to be able to run their show. So basically, if ya DJ at my Ravelong shop, you get 50% of sales during your set & 100% of tips. Its a great way to make some quick bucks if you can spend a little advance effort getting the people there. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tivona/80/58/24 So, Bubbs, and to all DJs, Ravelong, my DJ and Club shop is set up and ready and available for any DJ to come in and DJ, or even test and experiment. But just keep in mind, it's not set up like a music venue or club, you would have to do the work gathering the people there. Ravelong will totally back ya up and support the show though |

hahahahahahahaha... well now that ya mention it... it does kinda just look like a shameless plug
but lemme counter and dee-shameify my plug by equally adding other plugs. Club NuRepublik is usually the first place I send any DJ that is looking to have a cool place to get set up and start doing a regular reoccuring show. Haven's Paradise - Haven, Nikki, & Samantha are the three leads there. You could always talk with them and propose a show concept to them. Menorca - Slim's Island, you know about that already. but what you don't know about is her secret new "sizzling" club. Bubbs, you and I will definitely DJ there once slimmie flips the bacon over and turns the volcano down to 250degrees. (this was all an inside joke to make slim smile) And yet another plug for Ravelong hahahhaa: at Ravelong is a blue wall of Clubs that have posted their info, event info, and dj job openings. I try to make that blue club display wall a place for DJs to come and choose which clubs look interesting that they may wanna work at. |

Yeah, say hey to Nikki Colville or Samantha Lamont over at Haven's Paradise. I think they have a good place for ya there for you to create a show, and they have great support and backup for ya. So if you come to em with a concept and they like it, all of em there will totally work with ya to make it all work great there. Me personally, I have my monday weekly I do at Haven's Paradise... it's the only weekly I do. It's a monday 1p-3p slt which is basically the lowest login time except for 3 in the morning. So that timeslot the event is never packed, but the love and fun and group family type vibe that happens there is so awesome. So, that's why I love working with Haven's Paradise. |
