Buskers and Street Performers welcome at Inspiration CoveHello!For those of you who don't already know me, I'm Kat Claxton, owner of Inspiration Cove. I have decided to open my island up to SL street musicians and performers who use voice for their performances, and I have set up two locations on opposite sides of the island for this purpose. They are located here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Inspiration%20Cove/132/50/22 http://slurl.com/secondlife/Inspiration%20Cove/131/214/22 Just look for the musical note on the ground to know where you can set up. Rules and setup are fairly simple and reasonable, they are as follows: - You need to be a group member to rez your tipjar, signage, and non-wearable instruments. The group is "Inspiration Cove" and it is open enrollment so you can join, leave, rejoin, etc. as you wish. - Please do not block the sidewalk and the flow of traffic. Try to stick to the area designated by the music note. - You can play as often or as long as you want, any hour of the day or night, but do be considerate of other musicians who would also like to use the space. - Be especially considerate of the shops and merchants when performing, and make sure you and your crowd are not impacting their ability to conduct business. - Be aware that there is both a club on the island and a sky stage for tenant events. If an island tenant has scheduled an event and there is a traffic conflict, the tenant event will take priority. - Voice is available for street performances. The island music stream is only available on the sky stage. - You are welcome to use the sky stage for scheduled events. Just IM me if you would like to book it. - The island has a community bulletin board near the main landing point, and you are also welcome to post your island events there. - When you're done, take all your prims with you.

I wandered around FairChang with my voice on once or twice. But, nobody was interested. Might wander over to your place sometime. I suppose you could wear your tip jar, too  ... got too many groups as it is now. But, will look to see if one isn't really necessary.

As far as the groups go, if you're in an open enrollment group you can drop it and go back to it pretty easily if you need to shuffle groups. I'd open the island, but that invites all sorts of problems. |
