Archive for SLMC Second Life® Music Community Forum          SLMC Forum Index -> Welcome EricSteffensen Hello from EricSteffensen Mistwalker My name is Eric and I'm a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist who performs in SL.   I'm still relatively new to Second Life but already recognize some of the names here   My voice is often compared to Cat Stevens and to Barenaked Ladies (neither one on purpose) and roughly 75% of what I perform are original songs.  I describe what I do as acoustic rock but try to draw from many genres including jazz, blues, classical, rock and folk.  I've got recordings scattered all over the internet including some at my homepage at http://www.ericsteffensen.com/ and on thesixtyone.com. I'm consistently amazed at the potential that Second Life has for independent musicians and live performers and am happy to be a part of this community, and am looking forward to exchanging some good info and meeting some of you with whom I have not had the pleasure yet DjaiSkjellerup There is an ever growing appreciation of original music amoung SL music and having listened to your songs I know both listeners and yourself are going to be happier for your involvement.
