Hi From Woodsong!Hello Everyone!
In SL my name is Woodsong Zapatero. I play acoustic guitar and sing...mostly folk, some rock covers, and a little blues. I am also a wanna be songwriter, although I have not written much to date.
You can often find me at Merry Pranksters, where I have met lots of good friends. Thanks for being so kind to newbie SL musicians Pranksters!
I am trying to get the right equipment to get some decent sound quality for streaming in SL, but I am finding it frustrating because I have a laptop PC with the Windows Vista 64 bit operating system and a crappy built in sound card. Unfortunately, the Alesis USB mixer I ordered does not have drivers for Vista 64 bit 
I am thinking of getting an E-MU 0404 USB 2.0 audio interface which does have drivers for Windows Vista 64 bit and using it with my existing micro mixer, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I will also post this question in one of the equipment threads.

man, I wish I could give good advice. Vista 64 SHOULD be a good thing. But, that drivers issue has scared me from the start ... why my new machine was kept as an XP Pro OS .. could not AFFORD issues.
But, we have some good people here. Someone should be able to help.
Meantime, looking forward to catching you inworld sometime

Yay, Woods is here! Woodsong first showed up at the campground SLMC had at the SL5 birthday party and wanted to sing and play. It took a few hours and a number of people to get him squared away so he could. He doesn't have alot of time to make music for all of us but when he does, we are very happy! Welcome Woodsong!
