Well, it was about me because I wrote it, and I'm my own favorite topic. Very Happy

Glad you liked it, and again, welcome. I've seen your show before and it was great... I'll catch you again sometime soon. Smile

Not only about him, he wrote it! I just did the little sidebar part. That came together after Zak and I ran into each other in NY last year at AES. He's like, "Uh, you been playing out?" I'm like,"Uh, yeah, but its hard to explain, I'm playing in this virtual world thing called...." and he finishes the sentence with, "SECOND LIFE? NO F'ING WAY! ME TOO!"

Next thing ya know, we're like little kids showing each other their Tonka trucks, and running off to find the EM editor. Zak took it from there. Smile
MichelleD Ecksol

Yall are so funny!!!!  I've been trying to get a couple of my friends in here and they look at me as if I've just ran around the yard naked with flippers on my feet...  ( sorry for the visual )
It is a sad world when i can make more money.. walking from our kitchen to the studio.. than driving from state to state... playing our music...
I LOVE SL!!!
vonjohin

I think its a wonderful new world! Smile

No drunks on the road, no gas to buy, no hotels, no lugging gear, no drunk people knocking microphones into my mouth when I'm singing as they stumble in front of the stage to make sure I heard them say for the 50th time "PLAY FREEBIRD!" and no hassling with the club owner over how much REALLY came in on the door charge. Smile

OMG VON>. you too?? Almost missing teeth from the Mic hitting your mouth. I've had a bloody mouth several times from drunks dancing into my mic stand. I'm so happy to hear that i'm not the only one who has experienced this...
Scott has almost drawn fists over it... from people knocking our speakers and gear to the ground from carelessness.. or someone thinking they can become part of our band by coming up on stage and playing one of our instruments while we are on break.. OMG. i'm sure this has happened to you too.

Glad to hear i am not alone.
I'd rather have the occasional griefer... I still have my teeth afterwards
vonjohin

I can't count the times that has happened in the 20+ years of playing when at small clubs where the stage is basically floor level or the floor. Of course, there is also the beer in the monitor (or worse), and yes, everyone's a critic. I once was playing the War Eagle Supper Club in Auburn, AL and the owners dog walked up and pissed right in my speaker. Yep, guess that dog told me. Smile

I did however enjoy the distinct pleasure of watching the club owner wiping up piss from a speaker cab!

Interesting... would you have joined SL if you hadn't have been driving from state to state and stopped by Dale's place that night he was doing a gig at the Yak?
MichelleD Ecksol

GOOD POINT!!!!!! I love you Crap!!!

but seriously.. we didn't break even on that trip.. but we did find SL on that road trip.. So the road is good for SL
especially if you stay at Tallguy Kidd's house. Wink

And Then doing a Show with Tallguy on SL.. Got us Crap Mariner in a real life Audience.. .. So i guess that makes us one of the lucky ones... Thanks for coming to that show. it meant a lot...!!!!!  Smooches
RayW

Hey, Michelle!  I hadn't seen your show until last night.  Great!  Wish I could have stayed the whole hour ... but had to practice and test my gear.  Sorry.

And, to think it took one of my friends asking me if I'd heard you and Scott.  I hadn't.  So, I did.

Keep it coming!  You both are wonderful!

Oh, and welcome to the forum  Wink
PhoeNix

Look forward to catching your show! Smile
MichelleD Ecksol

Thanks Ray W... Not sure if you saw a solo performance or the duo.. two totally different shows. LOL..  It's nice to meet you and thanks for welcoming me to the forum..

Phoenix.. I am looking forward to hearing you sing as well..
Bibi Ballinger

Hey Michelle (and Scott)! One of those friends wouldn't happen to be Lojo would it? I met her at DemiCon this last weekend (and I did my set as a mixed reality thing) she said that the SL thing looked pretty cool and she had some friends who were really doing well with it, I asked if she knew you guys and she said you were the ones! Had a blast playing later that night in "circle" with her and Adam and all the other folks who were there. Anyway, I pushed her a bit more on the subject, and she closed out a note to me on MySpace saying something like "maybe see you around some dimly lit club in SL sometime", so I think there's hope!
