Overall it's quite a good primer.  However, the graph on audio flow gives the impression that it's possible to stream to an unlimited number of listeners and this isn't true.  Every avatar in SL counts as a listener along with every person who is tuning in via WinAmp or iTunes.  It's not a huge deal as I've never heard of anyone maxing out a thousand listener stream but it's possible.

As a primer, it wouldn't be expected to provide an exhaustive reference on equipment requirements but even with that in mind that section is pretty skimpy.  You might want to review that further with a technical heavy to give it some more beef.

All in all, it's quite well done and should prove a useful reference for people getting started.

Nice guide - I especially like the bullet point style. (Perhaps attending too many PowerPoint driven presentations has warped my brain).

One minor niggle - in the table comparing RL/SL. Under RL Fees, you state "You are rarely if ever paid by the venue, no matter how good you are". Perhaps I just miss your point. However, in RL, I am always paid -- unless it is for a charitable event with which I identify. Not a princely sum, but enough to fuel my rather substantial gear acquisition addiction.

Otherwise, very nice guide.

No mention of actually selling CD's and downloads directly to the audience at SL gigs but good all the same
