You use the term "SL" several times. You might want to actually say "Second Life" in case anyone not already in the know sees the video and wants to join to check it out. We use SL all the time but not everyone knows what that is. You do say Second Life once near the beginning, but people might forget or not make the connection between that and SL. At the very end, instead of fading to black put up your url. The final screen lingers on the screen after the video's done playing and if the text is there it gives people more time to make a note of it. You might even want to add the second life url too. Ya know, many of us have all these these amazing tools just laying around and don't put them to good use often enough. - ScreenFlow for the initial video capture. - Pro Tools for the VO and background music (I just pulled some random audio clips that were archived from Nicecast and sitting around on my HD doing nothing). - iMovie for the edit and export to uploadable movie format. The whole thing couldn't have taken more than two hours... one hour to capture the video and record/edit the audio, and an hour last night to edit and then upload the vid to YouTube. Not a bad idea at all! However, this is just a promo for Zak, the SL performer. When my album is done and "Zak the RL rock star" needs some promotion, these things will be made more clear in a new vid. The images are engaging and let non S Lifers get a view into another world. Lots of artists I've talked over the years come up with the same idea of the virtual band ala Gorillaz where they don't have to tour. I'm just a humble ole avatar myself, but I got a dream.
