Thanks for the update, Song; now I'm totally freaking out - LOL - anyone please tell me if I sound "flanged" (it's the musician's RUTH) ... seems like it could easily happen with anyone's setup, but I haven't noticed it yet. I'll keep an ear out.

Yes, I am very effective at inducing paranoia!  Last I heard you you sounded unflanged Babble. I'll try to catch a show soon to listen again!

Flangellation fantasy - LMFAO

Okay, sounds like it's okay - I have gotten the "echoey" commentary before but I think that's when the reverb knob had been inadvertently cranked up to 11.

Laughing

Really, I've seen/heard your show at least 10 times, and I've never heard an issue of bad audio with you. I figured if you got a little heavy handed with the 'verb, it was a purposeful creative decision. Smile

According to legend, the sound guys with their slide rules and astrological charts would take forever getting the 'Hendrix sound' dialed in for his shows and the first thing he'd do when he came out on stage was to take his hand and run it across the knobs on the Marshalls and max out all of them.  As in most things, if you aren't being called crazy by the experts then you're probably just going to end up making jingles for kitchen products.

You might liken this to the works of Dali relative to those of Van Gogh.  Dali painted with extraordinary precision and he was one of the most technically powerful artists to ever pick up a brush.  But...most of his work wound up in a museum in Tampa and in 60's coffee table books that people would view while smoking joints in the 60's.  Van Gogh frequently painted with multiple colors on the brush at the same time and broke virtually every rule of traditional artistry...and painted masterpieces, often knocking one out in a single sitting in an afternoon in a field.

So twist those knobs every which-way and ignore the critics as you're going to get those no matter what you do.

I would be interested to see how you have your toneports set up.. im still using mine and its working fine for my performances in SL.. however i find i have to turn down all my volume buttons else i get the sound feeding back.

I have a feeling this is because i have the toneport plugged into my line in and my usb port.. i HAVE to do this so that simplecast picks up the audio. Now Song mentioned that this was becaue simplecast only picked up sound directly from your line in or soundcard.. whatever.

If this is the case.. i might try using shoutcast... though simplecast has always been very reliable for me and free as i have somehow wangled it for 18 months without having to pay a penny.. hehehe.

The way i have mine set up now makes it impossible for me to record anything other than live versions of my songs.. i cant collab, ninjam etc.. because it just all feedsback.

I blame that damn Song Clanger anyway.. hes the one who gave me the bloody toneport! bloody trouible making bunny!
