Also this from the first page of this thread - gives pretty much the same prefs (just not prioritized). What I've been trying to say is:
I put in for one of those slots on the first page of the thread. Slim IMed me and said pick one, I IMed her back saying 7. Or 8 if 7 is gone and 9 if that's gone. I've never really changed what I said. I just thought Slim waned me to IM her back about i, so I did. It's also possible it got capped (&^%$^%$ LL IM capping strategies). I did not hear back from Slim in-world on this, so I'm betting this is the case.
AFAIK I spoke up first for 7, but it's set now, I'm just a bit put off that that slot is still 1 hr and I got shunted into a 1/2 hour. I'm sure it's all just a miscommunication and I'll get over it. (and no I don't want to play @ 10 - that's midnight here, and I'm already doing a 9pm show tonight). |

my apologies kaklick. yeah, I just didn't get the word you were locked in for 7. If you want 1 hour, and Juel can start 30 mins later, that could work. Also, yeah, everyone that got a 30 min set that wanted an hour got put off, myself included, so it couldnt be helped, it's just how the timeslots fell. But, good thing the island will be there forever after

No, Silas don't pull out (hrrrm, don't like where this phrasology is headed) - I was just being tetchy about the way this was going, and thought I'd made myself known early enough, but I would not want you to step out (that's better) Guess I was mostly miffed that I saw the whole 7pm 1 hour going to one person but getting shoved into a half hour slot, when I thought I'd confirmed (but apparently didn't). If everyone was taking 1/2 hr slts I wouldn't have said a peep (other than to say: excuse me I confirmed yesterday, I thought).
I really didn't intend to get into a whole snit about it. We'll just take it as read - you keep 8 I'll keep 8:30, k? |

That's generous, thanks  I felt responsible so I thought it the best move to withdraw to give everyone some breathing room but I didn't think you were in a snit or anyone was. Onward to the show!

I've not had to time to read through all of this... I too believed I was going to play for one hour and instead have a half hour, but I see some with one hour (at prime time btw), and so I am wondering specifically how those decisions were made... take the 7-8 slot for example. One guy gets one hour... are you saying that no one was willing to take 7:30? Maybe no one else wants to ask but I dont have that kinda pride... who do I have to be nice to to get an hour at these sortsa things? I mean you know - for future reference and stuff.

Originally the slots were kind of open and DD and I have tried to arrange this within 48 hours. I wasn't sure how many would be able to come along for the day.
I had slots available for anyone that wanted to come and play. and as the time has passed we have tried to fit as many of you in as possible, hence you see on the list some in for an hour and some for 30 mins.This does not mean some have preference over others, just teh way we origianally had the days list organised.
The list is changing as we get more.
The later slots are now at 30 mins each set so Mea Culpa for not making that clear in any earlier post.
My Ims to mail have not been working as they should have been which has probably added to confusion..
I am seriously thinking of extending the opening for the weekend so that we can have as many of you play as possible.
I am sorry that I didn't get back to everyone in time to explain
