OMG!!!!! What a day and still going strong.... i havent had a community day this good since Secondfest last summer and the funny little chillisland stage!!!!

Way to go Slimmie, DD, everyone involved and all you brilliant musicians & Dj's you have done the SLMC proud!!!!!

Yeah, good times! I stopped by three times in between my own two shows, and the vibe was great there. Of course, knowing Slimmie, I expected no less. Smile

16.5 hours for me but not nearly as much time, energy and $$ as Slim and DD invested to give us this wonderful sim! I got to see some dj's and artists I had never seen before and some old friends I had been missing. Hopefully we can make good use of it to inspire and promote new ideas for our community. Congratulations Slim and DD and thank you!!

Yesterday went absolutely brilliantly, I think I got to bed at around 4 am.

I am so proud to be part of the music community and I have so many people to thank.

Bibi Ballinger was on all day and all night helping out and her FABULOUS Music Bus near the stage is the coolest ever!

Harrie Skjellerup for sending out countless messages and notices.

To EVERY single performer who took time to come and play yesterday. you ROCKED the island and more importantly helped to bring in many many visitors who will take a better idea of the music community away with them and hopefully be inspired enough to get our information out on the grid and raise more and more awareness of Music in SL.

Cher Harrington for taking the late afternoon/evening slots and hosting brilliantly..

To Hexx for some Brilliant Pyrotechnics and effects for the stage

For everyone on the Tivona team for contributing your time throughout the whole day.

To Elliott Eldrich who turned my ideas into an amazing build and layout for the island and spent countless hours on the design until I was happy with it all!

And last but certainly not least, Doubledown Tandino who not only shares my passion and enthusiasm for music and totally mad ideas, but helped to make yesterdays opening happen with such an incredible impact. From making ALL the fliers, the SLMC donation boxes, arranging DJs and musicians to perform and for helping this all to happen within 48 hours.

As Circe said in her post, the enthusiasm from the music community everyone was amazing, and it was fantastic to see everyone all pull together but DON'T let it be for just that one day.

This IS the way to go forward with everyone sharing ideas and information and working together and we CAN do that (as was totally obvious from yesterdays event).

I have given you all a place to start from. The island is there as a base to encourage people to go out onto the grid and see the diversity and richness of what we ALL have to offer. Use it!

BTW we raised enough money yesterday with some totally generous donations to make the SLMC promo video. Susi Spicoli is making the film and it will be Starring YOU!

It will feature the Get it Together song as part of the backing track and will hopefully feature everyone who is displayed in the gallery. This will be going straight onto MetajamsTV and in as many places as possible. I cant wait to see how it turns out!

There are lots more ideas coming from the community for the island with seminars/tutorials and much much more and I think we should have a national "Plug your stuff' day on a regular basis!
