Yeah, I've seen Spence (though I don't recall where). He's excellent. _________________ Joy is in the ears that hear

I just noticed the part about the dress code. Hmm...Silas don't do Dockers in-world. If I had my druthers, I'd burn the ones I've got in RL. Am I going to get busted if I show up in Silas garb?? _________________ Ever vigilant for da gooses overhead.

Music Awareness - Summer Festival 2008
-----------
LM:
Festival Stage
--------------------------
JSP Island schedule, July 27:
6AM - Burnt Benoir, Festival Stage
'Please allow me to introduce myself. I perform in SL as Burnt Benoir. I perform live acoustic guitar and vocals, mainly rock and blues with a mix of originals and covers, from classic rock to ballads, from Bonnie Rait and Bruce Hornsby to Hal Ketchum and Hank Williams. Here in SL, I've begun to build a reputation as a personable performer and a serious artist. I intend to expand my understanding of streaming online and hope to make recordings of my SL concerts available in the future. I am proud to have top artists such as Jaggpro McCann and NANCE Brody compliment my style, along with professional promoters such as Edward Lowell, Daniele Hesse, Deana Wrigglesworth and Bourque Rau.' //Burnt Benoir
Event Host: Lotus Li
7AM - Quinton Whitman, Festival Stage
'Quinton has a way with that acoustic guitar that just moves you..you feel him making love to the strings; like making love, that can be gentle and loving or hard and fast! Layer on the sexy voice yep, an amazingly talented artist! To quote one fan, "he's sinfully delicious, like liquid chocolate." Of course, you never know what you'll hear! It can be a folksy expressive cover of a Utah Phillips ballad, a poignant love song cover of a Dylan or Donovan song, a sexy cover version of a Talking Heads, Moody Blues, or Neil Young song; that cover of Zepplin's "Friends"..wow! Then again, whether a moving instrumental or soul rendering vocal, the originals are truly astounding and better than the covers! Come experience a true artist...let Q move you with some stunning live music!' //Suka Nishi
Event Host: Lotus Li
8AM - Allister Westland, Festival Stage
'I'm a long time RL musician. I play guitar, drums, bass and keyboards. I also operate my own recording facility and produce and engineer part time. I play a Combination of New and Classic Rock Cover Tunes on Acoustic and Electric Guitar. Sometimes with backing tracks (which I play and record entirely myself) or solo guitar and voice. I am currently in the writing and recording phase of my first solo original project and I will be releasing my CD and touring later this year. Stay Tuned. Cheers!' //Allister Westland
Event Host: FantaC Call
9AM - Blair Bonde, Festival Stage
'Blair Bonde is a versatile musician who has been playing Sax for 32 years since the age of 9. He specializes not only in reggae and Caribbean party music, but also quiet, smooth jazz. He sings as well as plays sax, keyboards, and guitar. He sequences, records and performs the music he plays himself, which makes him SL's biggest one man show. He performs in RL in Indiana, USA, and is available for shows in both SL and RL.' //Bubbles Lurra & Shrike Rossini

Music Awareness - Summer Festival 2008
-----------
LM:
Festival Stage
--------------------------
JSP Island schedule, July 30:
3PM - Raven Kondor, Festival Stage
'For the past few years, Raven has been performing many classic "golden oldies" in RL and specialize in the material of Neil Diamond. Many of his 2nd life Live shows feature songs from Neil Diamond's high energy album "Hot August Night". This album, which was recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California, contains some of his greatest hits and is hailed as Neil's most celebrated concert.
The songs Raven sings range from beautiful to humorous to screaming rockers. He LOVES to SING and he has loads of FUN doing it. Raven holds nothing back and gives 100% to his audiences. If this genre of music suits your tastes or if you just want to have a great time and loads of fun, come to one of Raven's shows and see what FUN is all about, Neil Diamond style. Who knows, you might even hear a tune from the 'King' occasionally!' //Rocksand Jewell
4PM - ELiz Watanabe, Festival Stage
ELiz hails from Texas and loves performing in 2nd Life and in Real Life. From a young age ELiz has been playing the Piano and Singing. She was trained as a vocalist which has been her main focus for the past few years. Through her hard work and dedication to music she has received numerous awards for her talent. Eliz's passion is country music but she also loves to sing pop and love songs. Major influences in ELiz's life are Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Martina McBride and Faith Hill.

5PM - Kelvinblue Oh, Festival Stage
'While much about Second Life, including the live music scene, is about experimenting and pushing the limits, Kelvinblue Oh (Kevin Allen Navy) and his beloved Fender Strat, Miss Blue, have proven that even in this brave new world, it is still soul that counts. From lowdown roots blues to boogie woogie to flaming covers of his idol Hendrix, Kevin has become a real star in Second Life, which has allowed his honest performances and down home humor to instantly connect him with an international audience that knows and holds on to real talent when they see it.' //Suka Nishi
