I found another solution to this in the form of

which works really well.

The problem now is that it has transpired that the shed was built without the appropriate UK planning approval for accommodation and the neighbour split on us to the feds.

/turn on deep movie trailer voice..

In a world where a shed is silenced until such time those pencil pushing bureaucrats down at city hall understand that I am a cop on the edge in a town that knows no forgiveness......
