I was born into Second Life in April of 2007. My first performance there was in May. Quite an accomplishment for only one month old. After taking the summer off to learn how to play the guitar and learn a few tunes I'm back and performing regularly. If you believe everything you read I've got a bridge to nowhere I'll sell you.
Being a singer/songwriter from rural Alaska is tough. I live on a small Island and the logistics and touring costs are killer so it has been great to find an audience in SL. The travel is much cheaper and I can go farther. As for the summer off, I run a small cruise boat in Alaska to pay for my music (and SL) addiction.
Though my name is Blues and I do play some, my musical interests and styles are pretty broad. I'm really drawn to singer/songwriters like Bruce Cockburn, Richard Thompson, and Keb Mo, who tell a good story along with great guitar playing.
One of the best discoveries on SL is all the good friends and support from live music listeners and musicians. So "hello" everyone.  |
