My son is a big gamer, and I once was, but I ran out of time to get into the games I liked... because the games I liked were, shall we say, somewhat intricate and engrossing, and could take up your entire life if you let them.
So now, my "gaming time" is substituted for my gigging time in SL. It's a worthwhile trade-off, I'd say.
Meanwhile, I got my son Final Fantasy XII for his birthday this week. I probably won't see him again until September. _________________

As kids, we'd have chess boards lined all the way up the path in front of my parents' place. Now that game will suck the blood right out of your body. I never go near a chess board anymore. _________________ Ever vigilant for da gooses overhead.

I don't go near chess because, despite being a reasonably intelligent and analytical guy, I've always been terrible at chess, and really dislike playing it. Ah well. _________________
