I saw this in the hunts blog I subscribe.
I already sent my shop application and the prize will be a new shinning outfit (male and female) and maybe some music sheets. It will be set in the music corner at the lounge area in the shop with pictures and links for the musicians profile.
If it goes on good, will be a great chance to expose the music scene to the hunters (you know most of them are newbies eh).
Any musician that want their link in my shop, please send me a full perm texture. I will set to open their profile, so people can read about them.
I see a good idea there.
It is an ant job, but i think it can give some help also.
ps: this is not an advertisement, I am not organizing this hunt. I will just create something so people can know about my product but as the theme is music I will try to help there also. Just another way to collaborate with the music scene.
where is the spell check ? No time now (insert an exotic accent here)

"Music for the Soul" (M4TS) is a grid-wide hunt for those who are passionate about music! While your store does not have to be based around music, it should be represented some how.
The term music is very broad, that means you can get really creative with your gifts! Make musical note shoes, a toilet-seat guitar, a punk-rock outfit, or a skeleton piano, anything!
The M4TS hunt is open to all shops including malls as long as the landmark takes the hunter to a location where they can easily see the hunt sign.

Please send the notecard to Revolver Footman. Applications are to be turned in by Dec. 15. | _________________ Dianna Voight

This sounds very interesting. At Burning Life, they will be having Art hunts and Art Tours. We can't go off-site with it, like these do. But, the idea of extending the hunt to SL Music is someting I' think I might suggest.
More on topic, Dianna .. You mentioned Hunt Blogs. Maybe this has come up before and I missed it (or forgot it.. which is more likely the case) ...
But, can you mention a few of those that might be of interest to Music Hunters? thanks _________________ Ray

You´re welcome Djai
@Ray There are a few blogs that you can know about store hunts, grid wide hunts like this one
Usually a hunt has a theme to make things more interesting. This is the first time i see one about music. If I know about others ideas like this one I will let this forum know of course.
The M4TS has a blog now for the vendors and hunters: http://musicforthesoulhunt.blogspot.com/
I made a post with some suggestions about how the music people could get engaged in the hunt to help the live music awareness and how I will probably contribute.
I have already some musician´s pictures and links in my shop, where I will set the prize for the hunters. Maybe some music venues that can offer a prize could bring some new people to their venue. If someone is playing at the moment, that would be even better.
For the commerce point of view, hunts bring lots of people to your place. If you offer a good product they will come back and be a regular customer if they can. In the worst case, they will let people know about your stuff. _________________ Dianna Voight

thanks Dianna!
I see this as another opportunity to "take the music to them" ... mebbe some of our musos may want to contact Revolver Footman the organizer and offer to play some 30 min sets at the hunt locations. many folks just tp in and hunt and leave, but often they roam around the new stores/builds just to see what's there. I've participated in some hunts and have found the most amazing builds, and I stay on to explore once I've found the hunt item.
Most hunts have a group to join, and notices about hunt milestones are sent throughout the hunt, and the group IM is roaring with clues and discussion about the hunt location. this group, if Revolver is ameanable, can be used to PR some "tips only" gigs at some of these hunt locations daily through the hunt. a vast audience of avatars who are in the HUNT community but not necessarily the LIVE MUSIC community.
well ... have at it. I would be willing to do a little "mavening/coordinating" if there is interest.
ETA: this thread may want to be copied? over into the thread where we always discuss how to "raise the profile of live music in SL" _________________ Bourque Rau |
