This knowledge base article goes into a fair amount of detail on what to look for and what to do about lag (mostly server side). I'd recommend it to anyone running a venue. One thing I noted in particular is the fact that child agents (AV's that can see into your region) will affect performance in your region as well, so a busy multi-sim venue gets a bit of a double dose.

You'll be required to log in to view this, which I find a bit annoying, but if you're logged into the main SL website, you can just click on the link that says "Log in as <my av name>".

Great article. I also was unaware of the Child Agent phenomenon.

the child AV ugggg thats Novembers trouble! we have a sim to the east with a camp palace just on the border!!!! crap!
