Hi all,
I work on an island with mall, freebie area, romance hangout, free sex zone, home rentals etc... We run regular beach parties have a reliable group (600 members) and numerous smaller groups associated with the island.
We're considering starting up a live music venue as we're sure the regulars would like it and well, I love live music and am pretty active on the scene RL!
But we would like to test the waters before anything permanent is built... So we're looking for any musicians out there who would like to play for tips on a temporary stage to see how things go. Obviously we wouldn't take a cut, the guys tip our DJs very well I imagine they would respond the same to live musicians.
If the guys like it we'd be happy to build a venue and have people come every day to play, even do some open mics. We run our own (legal) tvs/media network so having gigs filmed and available as content for the tvs is another possiblity.
Happy to welcome most genres but I'm going to steer away from metal/rock for the time being, if people ask for it as the gigs happen then we'd be happy to bring those artists in. Original music is of course preferred to any covers.
Interested parties please drop me a notecard with your info in-world
Thanks

i should perhaps also mention we do have a server, set up and ready to be used.
So its just a matter of coming, connecting and playing to an audience, would be ideal for newer people i guess. if it takes off we'd have no problem in paying the artists.
Just like a venue is funded by drinks and merch, the funding for our land comes from the mall - new faces in the mall for live music would certainly spend on clothing etc..we know our regulars do so a music venue has the potential to be something long lasting if the musicians are interested. |
