There is a RL org (well if you can call web / email based groups RL) called Just Plain Folks http://jpfolks.org/, which is at its core, much like what we're attempting here on this forum, bringing people from all aspects of the music biz together to network, help each other and have fun.

I've been toying with the idea of opening up a "chapter" in SL, as a loanding point for people from JPF who are exploring, and as a way to do things similar to what JPF does IRL here in SL. They do showcases, workshops and other networking events on a regional basis. I think SL could be a good place to do some of these same things.

Is anyone interested? Enough to dump a group to join?

Hi Bryan! You know I'm in. I've been registered with the JPF forum for years. It's a great resource and I think having a chapter in SL is a good idea.
